Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Yang Yanwen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. In the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove sold for HKD 52,500.00 (€ 5,735.86) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yang Yanwen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Casting The Net, which sold at auction in December 2015 for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 20,789.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yang Yanwen erzielte im Mai 2018 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove für HKD 52.500,00 (€ 5.735,86) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yang Yanwen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Casting The Net beobachtet, die im Dezember 2015 für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 20.789,21) versteigert wurde.
