A top price for Yang Wencong
This artwork by Yang Wencong achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2017. In the Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Verdant Mountains sold for HKD 23,150,000.00 (€ 2,547,930.98) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 12,000,000.00. This high result makes Verdant Mountains the most expensive artwork by Yang Wencong that we have observed at auctions so far.
