Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2015 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Mountain Village by Yang Wencong. The price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,456.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yang Wencong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Verdant Mountains in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 23,150,000.00 (€ 2,547,930.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2015 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mountain Village von Yang Wencong zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.456,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yang Wencong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Verdant Mountains im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 23.150.000,00 (€ 2.547.930,98).
