Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Landscape by Yang Wencong was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Cal auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2013. Here, the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,850.02). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yang Wencong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Verdant Mountains in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 23,150,000.00 (€ 2,547,930.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Landscape von Yang Wencong wurde im September 2013 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Cal bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 10.625,00 (€ 7.850,02) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yang Wencong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Verdant Mountains im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 23.150.000,00 (€ 2.547.930,98).
