Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Fishing Alone In The Winter; Poem In Running Script by Yang Wencong for USD 52,500.00 (€ 39,373.03). This price was achieved in the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yang Wencong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Verdant Mountains in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 23,150,000.00 (€ 2,547,930.98).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Fishing Alone In The Winter; Poem In Running Script von Yang Wencong für USD 52.500,00 (€ 39.373,03) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yang Wencong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Verdant Mountains im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 23.150.000,00 (€ 2.547.930,98).
