Auction result well in line with expectations
The work NO. 5 by Yang Shaobin was sold in the Faces Places: Online Auction auction at Phillips in an online auction in April last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 180,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 107,100.00 (€ 12,949.17) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yang Shaobin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fighting 98-13 in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 5,780,000.00 (€ 502,303.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit NO. 5 von Yang Shaobin wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Faces Places: Online Auction bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 107.100,00 (€ 12.949,17) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yang Shaobin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fighting 98-13 im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.780.000,00 (€ 502.303,49).
