Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Coloured Sky: New Women II, 3 by Yang Fudong was sold in the Contemporary Art | Hong Kong auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in January 2021. The price achieved of HKD 52,920.00 (€ 5,625.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yang Fudong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The First Intellectual in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,480,000.00 (€ 137,649.60).

Die Arbeit The Coloured Sky: New Women II, 3 von Yang Fudong wurde im Januar 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art | Hong Kong bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 52.920,00 (€ 5.625,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yang Fudong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The First Intellectual im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.480.000,00 (€ 137.649,60).
