Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Coloured Sky: New Women Ii, 3 by Yang Fudong was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 118,750.00 (€ 13,517.21) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yang Fudong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The First Intellectual in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,480,000.00 (€ 137,649.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Coloured Sky: New Women Ii, 3 von Yang Fudong kam im April 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 118.750,00 (€ 13.517,21) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yang Fudong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The First Intellectual im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.480.000,00 (€ 137.649,60).
