Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Fifth Night by Yang Fudong was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in September 2020. The price achieved of HKD 35,280.00 (€ 3,883.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yang Fudong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The First Intellectual in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,480,000.00 (€ 137,649.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Fifth Night von Yang Fudong kam im September 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 35.280,00 (€ 3.883,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yang Fudong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The First Intellectual im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.480.000,00 (€ 137.649,60).
