This artwork by Yan Pei-Ming achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Paris in November last year. In the Estampes & Multiples auction, the work Icones, Mao, 2013 sold for EUR 2,932.50 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yan Pei-Ming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pape in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,026,850.00 (€ 1,297,972.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 83 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yan Pei-Ming erzielte im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Estampes & Multiples wurde die Arbeit Icones, Mao, 2013 für EUR 2.932,50 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yan Pei-Ming erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pape im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.026.850,00 (€ 1.297.972,83).
