A top price for Yan Pei-Ming
In June 2008 Christies in London held the auction Post-War & Contemporary ArtEvening Sale, which included the work Pape by Yan Pei-Ming. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,026,850.00 (€ 1,297,972.83), 71% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Pape the most expensive artwork by Yan Pei-Ming that we have observed at auctions so far.
