A top price for Yan Pei-Ming
In June 2008 Christies in London held the auction Post-War & Contemporary ArtEvening Sale, which included the work Pape by Yan Pei-Ming. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,026,850.00 (€ 1,297,972.83), 71% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Pape the most expensive artwork by Yan Pei-Ming that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juni 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary ArtEvening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pape von Yan Pei-Ming zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.026.850,00 (€ 1.297.972,83) und damit 71% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Pape zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Yan Pei-Ming, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
