Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Model Family by Huang Yan was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2013. The price achieved of HKD 15,000.00 (€ 1,487.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Yan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tattoo Series, Plants in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 28,800.00 (€ 42,694.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Model Family von Huang Yan wurde im Mai 2013 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 15.000,00 (€ 1.487,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huang Yan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tattoo Series, Plants im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.800,00 (€ 42.694,97).
