Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Chinese Landscape: Tattoo No. 1; & Chinese Landscape: Tattoo No. 9 by Huang Yan. It changed hands for a price of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 7,437.63) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Huang Yan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tattoo Series, Plants in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 28,800.00 (€ 42,694.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2013 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chinese Landscape: Tattoo No. 1; & Chinese Landscape: Tattoo No. 9 von Huang Yan zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 7.437,63) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Huang Yan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tattoo Series, Plants im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.800,00 (€ 42.694,97).
