Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Red Collar (Aka eri) by Yamakawa Shuho was sold in the Japanese Woodblock Prints | Including the Sokolov Collection auction at Sothebys in London in May 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,890.00 (€ 2,199.06) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yamakawa Shuho have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dancers in September 2007 with an auction result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 10,549.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Red Collar (Aka eri) von Yamakawa Shuho wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Japanese Woodblock Prints | Including the Sokolov Collection bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.890,00 (€ 2.199,06) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yamakawa Shuho auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dancers im September 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 10.549,27).
