The work Approaching Snow (Yuki moyoi) by Yamakawa Shuho was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 1,008.00 (€ 1,172.83), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Admittedly, works by Yamakawa Shuho have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dancers in September 2007 with an auction result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 10,549.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Approaching Snow (Yuki moyoi) von Yamakawa Shuho kam im Mai 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.008,00 (€ 1.172,83) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yamakawa Shuho auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dancers im September 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 10.549,27).
