Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Unknown by Yamakawa Shuho was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2005, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,566.53). Admittedly, works by Yamakawa Shuho have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dancers in September 2007 with an auction result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 10,549.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Unknown von Yamakawa Shuho im Juli 2005 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 1.080,00 (€ 1.566,53) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yamakawa Shuho auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dancers im September 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 10.549,27).
