Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Bonhams in New York held the auction Japanese and Korean Art, which included the work A standing beauty by Yamakawa Shuho. The price achieved of USD 2,422.50 (€ 2,183.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yamakawa Shuho have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dancers in September 2007 with an auction result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 10,549.27).
