This artwork by Yamakawa Shuho achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2020. In the From Artist to Woodblock: Japanese Prints auction, the work Approaching Snow (Yuki moyoi) sold for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,028.65) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yamakawa Shuho - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dancers, which sold at auction in September 2007 for USD 15,000.00 (€ 10,549.27).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Yamakawa Shuho erzielte im Juni 2020 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion From Artist to Woodblock: Japanese Prints wurde die Arbeit Approaching Snow (Yuki moyoi) für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.028,65) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yamakawa Shuho mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dancers beobachtet, die im September 2007 für USD 15.000,00 (€ 10.549,27) versteigert wurde.
