Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Watching the Sea by Xu Xi was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Christies in New York in September 2019. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,292.53) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xu Xi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work River Landscape in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 35,507.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Watching the Sea von Xu Xi wurde im September 2019 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.292,53) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xu Xi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit River Landscape im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 35.507,71).
