Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ink Abstract by Xu Xi was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Christies in New York in September 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,146.26) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xu Xi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work River Landscape in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 35,507.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ink Abstract von Xu Xi wurde im September 2019 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.146,26) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xu Xi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit River Landscape im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 35.507,71).
