Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Excerpt from Mengzi by Xu Shiying was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 7,500.00 (€ 807.49). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xu Shiying achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 212,500.00 (€ 25,082.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Excerpt from Mengzi von Xu Shiying wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 7.500,00 (€ 807,49) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xu Shiying erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 212.500,00 (€ 25.082,61).
