Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Xu Shiying’s Poem In Running Script (Warring States Period To Western Han Dynasty，5Th Century Bc - 1St Century) by Xu Shiying was sold in the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in November 2016. The price achieved of HKD 7,080.00 (€ 862.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xu Shiying achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 212,500.00 (€ 25,082.61).

Die Arbeit Xu Shiying’s Poem In Running Script (Warring States Period To Western Han Dynasty，5Th Century Bc - 1St Century) von Xu Shiying wurde im November 2016 in der Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 7.080,00 (€ 862,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xu Shiying erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 212.500,00 (€ 25.082,61).
