Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy by Xu Shiying was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2018. The price achieved of HKD 70,800.00 (€ 7,470.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xu Shiying - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu, which sold at auction in April 2017 for HKD 212,500.00 (€ 25,082.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Xu Shiying kam im April 2018 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 70.800,00 (€ 7.470,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 60.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Xu Shiying mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu beobachtet, die im April 2017 für HKD 212.500,00 (€ 25.082,61) versteigert wurde.
