Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Seven-Character Couplet In Running Script by Xu Shichang was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in May 2016. The price achieved of HKD 59,000.00 (€ 6,819.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Xu Shichang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in May 2010 with an auction result of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 51,944.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Seven-Character Couplet In Running Script von Xu Shichang kam im Mai 2016 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 59.000,00 (€ 6.819,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xu Shichang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 51.944,38).
