Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Xu Shichang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2018. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Calligraphy sold for USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,232.14) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xu Shichang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in May 2010 with an auction result of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 51,944.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xu Shichang erzielte im März 2018 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy für USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.232,14) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xu Shichang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 51.944,38).
