Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2021 China Guardian held the auction Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy In Seal Script by Xu Sangeng. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 60,000.00 (€ 6,674.17), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xu Sangeng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Standard Script Calligraphy in December 2020 with an auction result of HKD 1,025,000.00 (€ 108,115.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte China Guardian die Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy In Seal Script von Xu Sangeng zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 6.674,17) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xu Sangeng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Standard Script Calligraphy im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.025.000,00 (€ 108.115,29).
