Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Pair Of Couplets Written In Ancient Official Script by Xu Sangeng was auctioned at POLY in Hong Kong in April 2014. The price achieved of HKD 115,000.00 (€ 10,695.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xu Sangeng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Standard Script Calligraphy in December 2020 with an auction result of HKD 1,025,000.00 (€ 108,115.29).

Die Arbeit A Pair Of Couplets Written In Ancient Official Script von Xu Sangeng kam im April 2014 bei POLY in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 115.000,00 (€ 10.695,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xu Sangeng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Standard Script Calligraphy im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.025.000,00 (€ 108.115,29).
