Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Currency Wars - Macao 20 by Xu Qu was sold in the No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online auction at Christies in New York in October this year. The price achieved of HKD 52,920.00 (€ 6,399.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Xu Qu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Route Yellow And Blue in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 47,214.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Currency Wars - Macao 20 von Xu Qu wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 52.920,00 (€ 6.399,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xu Qu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Route Yellow And Blue im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 47.214,32).
