Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 2 works: (I) Currency War - Congo (New); (II) Currency War - Congo (Old) by Xu Qu was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in Association with Poly Auction auction at Phillips in Hong Kong in November 2021. It changed hands for a price of HKD 176,400.00 (€ 19,613.89) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xu Qu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Route Yellow And Blue, which sold at auction in April 2017 for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 47,214.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 2 works: (I) Currency War - Congo (New); (II) Currency War - Congo (Old) von Xu Qu wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in Association with Poly Auction bei Phillips in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 176.400,00 (€ 19.613,89) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Xu Qu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Route Yellow And Blue beobachtet, die im April 2017 für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 47.214,32) versteigert wurde.
