Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Ink Art : Journey, which included the work Snowy Mountains by Xiong Hai. The price achieved of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 29,419.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 220,000.00 – 320,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xiong Hai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscapes, which sold at auction in October 2016 for HKD 500,000.00 (€ 58,839.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Ink Art : Journey durch, in der auch die Arbeit Snowy Mountains von Xiong Hai zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 29.419,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 220.000,00 – 320.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Xiong Hai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscapes beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für HKD 500.000,00 (€ 58.839,63) versteigert wurde.
