Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Xiong Hai could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Ink Art auction, the work Autumn Landscape changed hands for HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,803.58) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Xiong Hai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscapes in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 58,839.63).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xiong Hai konnte im April 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Ink Art wechselte die Arbeit Autumn Landscape für HKD 100.000,00 (€ 11.803,58) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xiong Hai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscapes im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 58.839,63).
