Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Retreat In The Mountains And Mountain Springs (Set Of Two Works) by Xiong Hai was sold in the Contemporary Ink Art : Journey auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. The price achieved of HKD 237,500.00 (€ 27,948.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xiong Hai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscapes, which sold at auction in October 2016 for HKD 500,000.00 (€ 58,839.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Retreat In The Mountains And Mountain Springs (Set Of Two Works) von Xiong Hai wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion Contemporary Ink Art : Journey bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 237.500,00 (€ 27.948,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Xiong Hai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscapes beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für HKD 500.000,00 (€ 58.839,63) versteigert wurde.
