The work Peaks by Xiong Hai was sold in the Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2017. It achieved a price of HKD 259,600.00 (€ 28,572.05), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 44%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xiong Hai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscapes, which sold at auction in October 2016 for HKD 500,000.00 (€ 58,839.63).

Die Arbeit Peaks von Xiong Hai wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 259.600,00 (€ 28.572,05) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 44%. Für andere Arbeiten von Xiong Hai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscapes beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für HKD 500.000,00 (€ 58.839,63) versteigert wurde.
