Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2018 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Mount Huang In The Mist by Xiong Hai. It changed hands for a price of HKD 237,500.00 (€ 25,060.05) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 180,000.00 – 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xiong Hai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscapes, which sold at auction in October 2016 for HKD 500,000.00 (€ 58,839.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2018 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mount Huang In The Mist von Xiong Hai zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 237.500,00 (€ 25.060,05) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 180.000,00 – 250.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Xiong Hai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscapes beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für HKD 500.000,00 (€ 58.839,63) versteigert wurde.
