A top price for Xiong Hai
This artwork by Xiong Hai achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. In the Contemporary Ink Art : Journey auction, the work Landscapes sold for HKD 500,000.00 (€ 58,839.63) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. This high result makes Landscapes the most expensive artwork by Xiong Hai that we have observed at auctions so far.
