Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2011 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Green Mountains and Cascade by Xiong Hai. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 225,000.00 (€ 21,524.94). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xiong Hai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscapes, which sold at auction in October 2016 for HKD 500,000.00 (€ 58,839.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2011 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Green Mountains and Cascade von Xiong Hai zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 225.000,00 (€ 21.524,94) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Xiong Hai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscapes beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für HKD 500.000,00 (€ 58.839,63) versteigert wurde.
