Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Chinese Paintings Online: Modern Masters, which included the work Morning Glories by Xie Zhiguang. The price achieved of USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,226.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,200.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xie Zhiguang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ladies and Crane in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 45,696.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Chinese Paintings Online: Modern Masters durch, in der auch die Arbeit Morning Glories von Xie Zhiguang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.500,00 (€ 1.226,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.200,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xie Zhiguang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ladies and Crane im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 45.696,26).
