Auction result misses estimated price range
In August this year a collector was able to acquire the work Boating by Xie Zhiguang for HKD 18,900.00 (€ 2,223.22). This price was achieved in the auction Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xie Zhiguang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ladies and Crane in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 45,696.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im August diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Boating von Xie Zhiguang für HKD 18.900,00 (€ 2.223,22) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xie Zhiguang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ladies and Crane im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 45.696,26).
