Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Chrysanthemum and Rock by Xie Zhiguang was sold in the Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in September last year. The price achieved of HKD 16,380.00 (€ 2,131.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xie Zhiguang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ladies and Crane in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 45,696.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Chrysanthemum and Rock von Xie Zhiguang wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 16.380,00 (€ 2.131,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xie Zhiguang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ladies and Crane im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 45.696,26).
