Auction result misses estimated price range

This work of art by Xie Nanxing could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Afternoon Session auction, the work Untitled No. 9 changed hands for HKD 1,875,000.00 (€ 217,465.29) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Xie Nanxing have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Ambiguous Flower No. 3) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 960,000.00 (€ 980,347.83).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Dieses Kunstwerk von Xie Nanxing konnte im November 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Afternoon Session wechselte die Arbeit Untitled No. 9 für HKD 1.875.000,00 (€ 217.465,29) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 2.000.000,00 – 3.000.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xie Nanxing auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Ambiguous Flower No. 3) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 960.000,00 (€ 980.347,83).
