This artwork by Xie Nanxing achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Untitled No.3 sold for HKD 2,120,000.00 (€ 245,009.85) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 1,200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Xie Nanxing have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Ambiguous Flower No. 3) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 960,000.00 (€ 980,347.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 77 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xie Nanxing erzielte im April 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled No.3 für HKD 2.120.000,00 (€ 245.009,85) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 1.200.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xie Nanxing auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Ambiguous Flower No. 3) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 960.000,00 (€ 980.347,83).
