This artwork by Xie Nanxing achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Self-Portrait With Guns sold for HKD 625,000.00 (€ 72,231.68) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 350,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xie Nanxing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Ambiguous Flower No. 3) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 960,000.00 (€ 980,347.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 79 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xie Nanxing erzielte im April 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Self-Portrait With Guns für HKD 625.000,00 (€ 72.231,68) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 350.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xie Nanxing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Ambiguous Flower No. 3) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 960.000,00 (€ 980.347,83).
