The work Zhong Kui by Xiao Lisheng was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 16,250.00 (€ 1,884.70), 35% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Xiao Lisheng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sleeping Monk/Amitabha in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 87,500.00 (€ 9,559.77).

Die Arbeit Zhong Kui von Xiao Lisheng wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 16.250,00 (€ 1.884,70) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xiao Lisheng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sleeping Monk/Amitabha im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 9.559,77).
