A top price for Xiao Lisheng
This artwork by Xiao Lisheng achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Sleeping Monk/Amitabha sold for HKD 87,500.00 (€ 9,559.77) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 35,000.00. This high result makes Sleeping Monk/Amitabha the most expensive artwork by Xiao Lisheng that we have observed at auctions so far.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Xiao Lisheng erzielte im Mai 2018 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit Sleeping Monk/Amitabha für HKD 87.500,00 (€ 9.559,77) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 35.000,00.
