Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Interior With A Woman And Child Sewing By An Open Window, A Dog Asleep In A Chair by Wybrand Hendriks was sold in the Old Master and 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,159.22) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wybrand Hendriks - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of Jan van Walre, full length, in a riding costume with his dog, his horse and a servant by his side; and Portrait of Maria Kops, full length, in a white dress and elaborate hat with her daughter by her side, which sold at auction in May 2009 for EUR 16,250.00.

Die Arbeit Interior With A Woman And Child Sewing By An Open Window, A Dog Asleep In A Chair von Wybrand Hendriks wurde im Januar 2008 in der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 7.159,22) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
