Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Landscape With Travellers, A Blasted Tree In The Foreground by Wybrand Hendriks was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2015. The price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,961.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wybrand Hendriks - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of Jan van Walre, full length, in a riding costume with his dog, his horse and a servant by his side; and Portrait of Maria Kops, full length, in a white dress and elaborate hat with her daughter by her side, which sold at auction in May 2009 for EUR 16,250.00.

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.961,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wybrand Hendriks mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of Jan van Walre, full length, in a riding costume with his dog, his horse and a servant by his side; and Portrait of Maria Kops, full length, in a white dress and elaborate hat with her daughter by her side beobachtet, die im Mai 2009 für EUR 16.250,00 versteigert wurde.
