The work Still life with helmet by Wu Zuo Ren was sold in the 20th Century Chinese Art & Asian Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2005. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 1,560,000.00 (€ 162,455.26), 73% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Wu Zuo Ren; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Chung-Qing in Flame sold at auction in October 2002 with the realized price of HKD 1,724,100.00 (€ 223,691.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 73 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Still life with helmet von Wu Zuo Ren wurde im Mai 2005 in der Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art & Asian Contemporary Art bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 1.560.000,00 (€ 162.455,26) und damit 73% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Wu Zuo Ren; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Chung-Qing in Flame im Oktober 2002 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 1.724.100,00 (€ 223.691,55).
