A top price for Wu Zuo Ren
The work Chung-Qing in Flame by Wu Zuo Ren was sold in the THE CURRIER COLLECTION OF CHINESE CONTEMPORARY ART auction at Christies in Hong Kong in October 2002. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 1,500,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 1,724,100.00 (€ 223,691.55). With this result, Chung-Qing in Flame is even the most expensive work of art by Wu Zuo Ren that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Chung-Qing in Flame von Wu Zuo Ren wurde im Oktober 2002 in der Auktion THE CURRIER COLLECTION OF CHINESE CONTEMPORARY ART bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 1.500.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 1.724.100,00 (€ 223.691,55) einen neuen Besitzer. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Chung-Qing in Flame sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Wu Zuo Ren, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
