Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Woong Kim could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2001 for an unexpectedly low price. In the JAPANESE AND KOREAN ART auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 587.50 (€ 653.29) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Woong Kim achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled, 1988 in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 12,000.00 (€ 9,458.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Woong Kim konnte im Oktober 2001 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion JAPANESE AND KOREAN ART wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 587,50 (€ 653,29) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Woong Kim erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled, 1988 im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.000,00 (€ 9.458,50).
