Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Woong Kim could be acquired at Christies in New York in September 2000 for an unexpectedly low price. In the JAPANESE AND KOREAN ART auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 2,350.00 (€ 2,659.27) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Woong Kim - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled, 1988, which sold at auction in September 2006 for USD 12,000.00 (€ 9,458.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Woong Kim konnte im September 2000 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion JAPANESE AND KOREAN ART wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 2.350,00 (€ 2.659,27) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Woong Kim mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled, 1988 beobachtet, die im September 2006 für USD 12.000,00 (€ 9.458,50) versteigert wurde.
